Paneer Chowmein: This Weekend, Treat Yourself to This Delicious Indo-Chinese Recipe

The weekend has begun, and it’s time to indulge in all your favorite foods! Be it the classic Indian rich gravy or the famous chaat pakodi, you can enjoy as much of a meal as you want on a weekend. However, if you want something different, how about making something Indo-Chinese?! We all enjoy the classic Indo-Chinese flavor from the very beginning. We love to enjoy the taste of sauces tossed in crisp vegetables. But, if you are not in the mood to mess in the kitchen, we suggest you keep things simple and make some delicious paneer chowmein!

Chowmein is our very own version of Asian Hakka Noodles. Paneer Chowmein is smooth, spicy and incredibly delicious, and has a distinct fan following of its own. So much so that this street-style chowmein can now be found in many nooks and corners of our country. Not only that though. Many of us also make it at home. But, let’s be honest, getting the perfect chow mein texture isn’t as easy as it sounds. In fact, most of us overcooked the dish, which resulted in the sloppy wetness. Take water in a pan, add salt and olive oil to it and bring it to boil. Add noodles and cook. Once done, remove immediately and cool under running water.

Now heat some oil in a heavy bottomed pan and fry the garlic, ginger garlic paste and onion on high flame till golden brown. Now add paneer and let it turn light brown. Add celery and mushrooms, red and green capsicum along with carrots. stir well. Now add salt, pepper powder, tomato sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce and vinegar to the veggie mixture. Add noodles to it and stir until well mixed. Garnish with spring onions and serve!
