Parambrata Chattopadhyay Secretly Marries Girlfriend Piya Chakraborty In Kolkata; What We Know – News18

Actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay predominantly known for his work in Bengali television and films tied the sacred knot with his long-time girlfriend Piya Chakraborty. The lovebirds got married at his South Kolkata residence. Reportedly it was registry marriage in the afternoon and was an initimate affair with close friends and family in attendance.

According to a report in ETimes, Parambrata’s close friend Producer-director Aritra Sen was present at the ceremony. Piya’s cloe friend Ratnaboli Roy was also there to shower them with blessings. The report also revealed that the couple wore traditional clothes for the ceremony and later relished traditional Bengali meal. The couple is also planning to host a celebratory party for their indurstry colleagues and friends.

Reportedly, Param and Piya were in a relationship for two years, but never confirmed or acknowledged about the same. Piya Chakraborty who currently works with an NGO was previously married to composer-singer Anupam Roy while Parambrata was dating Dutch national Ike Schouten. Rumours were rife, that the marriage fell apart when Param and Piya were linked tigether. Few days back in an interview with Calcutta Times, Parambrata opened up on his relationship status saying “Shob e maya… achhe kintu nei” (It’s all maya, it’s there but not quite).

Apart from Bengali entertainment industry, Parambrata has also worked in Bollywood. He made his Hindi film debut with the 2012 film Kahaani where she starred opposite Vidya Balan. The movie turned out to be a major hit in the box office. He then went on to work with Anushka Sharma for the film Pari and also starred in the critically acclaimed Netflix film Bulbbul.
