Parliament: PM Modi inspects the construction site of the new Parliament building in Delhi. India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visited Naveen’s construction site on Sunday Parliament Building in New Delhi.
He went for inspection at around 8.45 pm tonight. He spent about an hour at the site and directly inspected the construction status of the new Parliament building.

The new building is being constructed close to the existing one under the Central Vista Redevelopment Project and is expected to be completed in 21 months from the start of construction work.

On February 4 this year, the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Central Vista Avenue was performed by the then Union Minister of State for Independent Charge Hardeep S Puri and other senior officials of the Ministry at India Gate, New Delhi.
With this ceremony the work of development/redevelopment of Central Vista Avenue started.
Central Vista’s redevelopment project includes a new triangular Parliament building, a common central secretariat and revamping of the 3 km-long Rajpath, President’s House to India Gate

As per the plan, the new Parliament House, which will have separate offices for all MPs, will be equipped with the latest digital interface as a step towards creating a ‘paperless office’.

The new building will also have a grand Constitution Hall to showcase India’s democratic heritage, a lounge for Members of Parliament, a library, several committee rooms, dining areas and ample parking space.
The government on November 10, 2020 approved the proposal for development of Central Vista Avenue at an estimated cost of Rs 608 crore. Necessary permissions have been obtained from Delhi Urban Art Commission, Heritage Conservation Committee, Central Vista Committee, Local Bodies etc.
