Sources have said that the ongoing winter session of Parliament may end a week ahead of schedule today. Sources said the decision was taken at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee, which manages the schedule of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.

The winter session, which began on December 7, has witnessed riotous scenes and repeated adjournments.

Heated exchanges between the ruling party and the opposition benches over tensions along the India-China border following a skirmish between soldiers from both sides near the Line of Actual Control earlier this month have been the highlight of the session.

Winter session of Parliament likely to end today

Official sources said the winter session of Parliament is likely to end on December 23, a week ahead of schedule.

He told that in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of Lok Sabha chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, it was decided to recommend early completion of the session.
