‘Party will fight all 224 seats in Karnataka with full gusto’: AAP’s Atishi

Bengaluru: Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi on Tuesday (January 31) said her party is setting the agenda for the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections, with the BJP promising ‘Namma Clinic’ on the lines of Delhi’s mohalla clinics and the Congress Has promised 200 units of free electricity, as implemented. in the national capital. Addressing a press conference here, the AAP leader said the party will contest elections in all 224 assembly constituencies across the state, which is less than three months away, and the list of candidates will be announced in the first week of March.

He claimed that while the saffron party has been in power for the past three-and-a-half years, it is on the brink of assembly elections, where it is promising to implement ‘Namma Clinics’ based on Delhi’s mohalla clinic model.

Atishi alleged, “If you (BJP) were serious about providing high-quality healthcare, why was it not done all these years? This shows that a copycat is only a copycat.” He wondered why the BJP promised 24,000 classrooms under the ‘Viveka’ scheme in Karnataka at the end of its tenure. Atishi wanted to know, “My question is why these were not constructed in the last five years. You (BJP) have been in power, you had the budget and still you have not constructed them.”

The AAP leader said the Congress is promising 200 units of free electricity if voted to power, which is similar to AAP’s scheme, which has already been implemented in Delhi. He challenged the Congress that the people of Karnataka will believe the party’s promise of free electricity if they give free electricity in states like Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh before the date of Karnataka assembly elections.

Regarding Janata Dal (Secular), he said that the party is now talking about high quality education. The AAP MLA representing Kalkaji in Delhi said, “You can see that the entire election agenda for the Karnataka state assembly election has been set by AAP because people want change because they are tired of corruption.”

Atishi said, “AAP has shown that they can bring high quality education, high quality healthcare and they can give 200 units of free electricity to the people and that is the reason people are getting attracted towards our party. “

The AAP leader said the party will contest all 224 seats and there has been an overwhelming response on the ground. “I urge the people of Karnataka to elect an honest party which has fulfilled its promises,” she said.
