Patna: Fresh arson, firing over dispute between two groups over car parking

According to sources, two people were killed in the encounter between the two groups. The incident took place in Gatholi village over a dispute between local Bahubali Bachcha Rai and Chandrika Rai over parking and soon the matter escalated and both the parties started firing at each other. One person named Gautam Kumar died on the spot while another person succumbed to his injuries at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). The remaining three are hanging between life and death in PMCH.

According to an official, Chandrika Rai was taking her car from her private parking area to the road, while Bacha Rai was collecting building material in front of her parking area. Chandrika Rai asked him to remove the content, which led to a verbal duel between them. Bacha Rai soon called his accomplices, who came and opened fire on Chandrika Rai.

Talking to the media about the incident, SSP Patna said that the main accused has been arrested and added that the situation is under control. Also, the top official said that an operation was launched to nab the other accused.

50 rounds of bullets were fired in the presence of police: villagers

According to local media reports, the brawl started over a parking issue and later, it took a major turn after two groups clashed with ammunition. Some media reported that at least 50 rounds of ammunition were fired after the deadly clash.

After this, the angry villagers set fire to the house and marriage hall of the accused. Villagers complained that police officers were present when the accused fired several rounds and alleged that they did not bother to control the clash.
