Paytm CEO Tweeted About His 7 Hour Zoom Call And The Responses Were Pure Gold

Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma tweeted about a Zoom call that went on for over 7 hours.

Running an organization of over 13,000 employees may not be easy, so it is not surprising that Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma often finds himself attending lengthy work meetings. But recently, even he was puzzled by the length of a Zoom call that went on for almost the entire duration of a normal working day. In the time it took Mr. Sharma to complete that one call, you can fly from Delhi to Dubai – and back. It was, in his own words, “probably the longest Zoom call”, lasting seven hours and 45 minutes.

“Just finished my possibly longest Zoom call [sic],” he wrote on Twitter on Monday, revealing the duration of the call to be “7 hours 45 minutes.”

His tweet has racked up nearly 3,500 ‘likes’ and a ton of amusing comments.

Many Twitter users weren’t impressed by it – recalling the time they spent hours talking to their crush on the phone.

In this much time you can complete an entire semester in online classes, another pinch

Or watch Sholay and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham – both movies that ran for over three hours

Some were concerned about the person who noted down the minutes of the meeting

Zoom call? More like “Zoom Marathon”

But there were others who glorified working for long hours and made an issue of Mr. Sharma.

And many also wondered whether the call was regarding Paytm’s upcoming IPO

According to Bloomberg, Paytm, the country’s leader in digital payments, has filed its initial offering document, which aims to raise up to 166 billion rupees ($2.2 billion), according to Bloomberg. If it reaches that level, the IPO will be the biggest debut in the country till date.
