The Pentagon said on November 15, 2022 that it could not confirm reports that Russian missiles entered Poland near the border with Ukraine.

“We are aware of press reports alleging that two Russian missiles have struck a position inside Poland near the border with Ukraine. I can tell you that at this time we have nothing to confirm those reports. There is no information and we are looking into it further,” Pentagon spokesman Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder told a news briefing.

Firefighters in Poland said Tuesday that an explosion killed two people in Przewodo, a village in eastern Poland near the border with Ukraine. Polish radio ZET reported earlier that two stray missiles struck Przewodow on Tuesday, killing two people, without giving any further details.
