Petrol and diesel prices: Fuel rates were stable in metro cities today

Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: There was no change in fuel prices for the 17th consecutive day on Sunday, 21 November. Earlier on November 4, the government had reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel to bring them down slightly from the record-high level.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in the national capital is currently being sold for Rs 103.97 while diesel is priced at Rs 86.67. Petrol in Mumbai is being sold at Rs 109.98 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 94.14 per litre.

Despite the reduction in prices, petrol rates are still above Rs 100 per liter in four metros and several cities of the country. Among the metro cities, Mumbai has the highest fuel rates. Petrol and diesel prices in metro cities are as follows:

State-run oil refiners like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates on a daily basis, taking into account crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates in international markets. Any change in the prices of petrol and diesel is effective from 6 am every day.
