Petrol and diesel prices: Fuel rates were stable in metro cities today

Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Fuel prices remained unchanged on Sunday across cities as on December 5. Petrol prices in Delhi remained unchanged at Rs 95.41 per liter, three days after the Delhi government reduced the value added tax (VAT) from 30 per cent to 19.4 per cent. 8 per liter has come down. Diesel prices in the national capital, however, remained stable at Rs 86.67 per litre.

Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices in other metro cities have remained the same since November 4, when the Center reduced excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 per liter respectively.

Petrol and diesel prices in metro cities are as follows:

State-run oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel rates on a daily basis, taking into account crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates in international markets. Any change in the prices of petrol and diesel is effective from 6 am every day.
