“Please Make It Stop”: Historian Tom Holland Wrongly Tagged In Actor’s Photos

The internet is currently abuzz with pictures and videos of the grand launch event of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) in Mumbai, which was attended by several Bollywood and Hollywood stars. Meanwhile, a Twitter post by Tom Holland has gone viral. But, he is not the actor who plays Spider-Man, but a British historian who is mistaken for a celebrity by many social media users.

The British historian re-shared a picture from the Ambani event featuring actors Tom Holland, Zendaya, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani. “Please stop this,” author Tom Holland wrote after being mistakenly tagged in the star-studded photo.

In response to the user, the author revealed that this was not the only post where he was tagged. “It’s like I have the whole of India on my timeline!” They said.

During this, other users did not miss the opportunity to laugh.

One person wrote, “It happens and the way the internet works, I bet it will come back in the next 6 months when you least expect it.”

Another user joked, “Tom, with great power comes great responsibility. Embrace it”.

Sympathizing with the historian, a person shared, “As someone who gets tagged in Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures almost every week, I feel for you,” he wrote.

“Congratulations on the success of Spiderman No Way Home,” read one comment.

“Laugh out loud! Enjoy the attention till Mr. Holland lives. You may miss it in a few days. Apologies on behalf of my fellow countrymen though,” said a user.

“Change your name to Tom Netherland. No one will bother you,” suggested one person.

One user said, “Wasted 5 minutes trying to figure out what and why he wanted to bug us before realizing he’s not the real Tom Holland lol.”

The NMACC launch event was attended by Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor Khan among others.
