Bangalore: Veteran BJP Leader BS Yediyurappa said on Saturday Prime Minister Narendra Modi has agreed to their request to come KarnatakaWhere the party is aiming to come back to power at least once a month for the 2023 assembly elections.
The former CM, who came to New Delhi on Friday to meet the party’s central leadership, said no force can stop the BJP from coming back to power in Karnataka.
“I had a detailed discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party’s national president JP Nadda. He tried to know about the political situation in Karnataka. I have requested the prime minister to visit the state frequently and assured him That BJP will win more. More than 140 seats (out of total 224) and come back to power,” Yediyurappa said.
Talking to reporters here on his return from New Delhi, he said the Prime Minister is going to Mangaluru on September 2 and a big program is being planned to gather lakhs of people there.
He said, “I have requested Modi ji to visit different parts of the state at least once a month, and he has agreed to it. I have spoken to Nadda in this regard as well. We to the party.” Will strengthen and make all efforts.” He added.
This was the first visit of a strong Karnataka BJP leader to the national capital after recently joining the party’s parliamentary board and central election committee.
Yediyurappa said the state leaders would start a state-wide yatra in the next few days with an aim to strengthen the party, adding that no force can stop the BJP from coming back to power in Karnataka.
“We are sure that people will bless us… Congress is dreaming of coming to power, but we will not give them a chance and the BJP will work unitedly to form the government.”
On the allegation of 40 per cent commission against ministers and MLAs by the union of contractors in public works, Yediyurappa said, “Just because some idiot is making such false allegations under the influence of someone, it cannot be true. Let them go. Lokayukta And get it checked, we don’t mind.”
Alleged that the Congress leader siddaramaiah Deliberately doing so, he said, “We will answer it (the allegations) in the Assembly… It will have no effect, people know these are false allegations.”
