Former Union minister Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed India from a third world country to a global superpower in just eight years. “PM Modi has instilled a new sense of confidence among Indians with his exemplary captaincy.” Vardhan also claimed that India is set to become the world’s third largest economy by 2030.
Addressing a press conference, Vardhan said that the Prime Minister has always considered power as a means to serve the people. He has made unprecedented efforts to get proper rights to the poor, farmers, our women and the underprivileged sections of the society.

On the major decisions taken by the central government in the last 8 years, Vardhan said, “For a country which was always counted as third world, India has transformed into a global superpower in the last eight years itself.
“We have achieved the feat of becoming the fastest growing economy in the world and have maintained a lower inflation rate than the last 10 years of the UPA regime.”
