PM Modi in Gujarat Live Updates: PM to pay tribute to Sardar Patel; Roadshow canceled in view of Morbi tragedy

A roadshow and committee meeting are to be held today in the wake of Morbi tragedy, where over 100 people have lost their lives so far due to the collapse of a bridge.

However, the Prime Minister will visit Banaskantha district to lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 8,000 crore in Tharad. He will dedicate major railway projects in Ahmedabad to the nation.

On Sunday, the PM laid the foundation stone of the C-295 Transport Aircraft Manufacturing Plant in Vadodara. The inauguration was attended by Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Airbus CCO Christian Shire and Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran.

On November 1, Modi will attend an event at Mangarh Hill in neighboring Rajasthan state and then reach Jambughoda in Gujarat’s Panchmahal district to start various development projects. Modi will also address the people at the venue.

In the evening, the Prime Minister will address BJP workers of all 182 assembly constituencies of Gujarat through video conferencing. This ‘Diwali Milan’ program for party workers will be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
