PM Modi lays foundation stone for projects worth ₹4400 crore in Gujarat

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated nearly 100 development projects across the country. 4400 crores in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the projects include initiatives under the Urban Development, Water Supply, Road and Transport, and Mines and Minerals departments.

During the function, the Prime Minister inaugurated multi-village drinking water supply schemes in Banaskantha district, a river overbridge in Ahmedabad, a drainage collection network at Naroda GIDC, sewage treatment plants in Mehsana and Ahmedabad, and an auditorium in Dahegam. among others.

He laid the foundation stone of bulk pipeline projects in Junagadh district, augmentation of water supply schemes in Gandhinagar district, construction of flyover bridges, new water distribution stations and various town planning roads.

The Prime Minister participated in the Griha Pravesh of around 19,000 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme and handed over the keys to the beneficiaries during the event. The total outlay of PMAY projects is approx. 1950 cr.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi also participated in the 29th biennial convention of the All India Primary Teachers Federation – All India Education Union Convention.
