PM Modi to address post-budget webinar on ‘Make in India for the world’ today

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a post-budget webinar on ‘Make in India for the world’ on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a special speech to all the participants on the vision of ‘Make in India for the World’ and its convergence with the Union Budget 2022 and the expectations from the webinar.

In line with PM Modi’s vision to make India a global hub for manufacturing, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry is organizing a post-budget event, the ministry said in a statement. Webinar on “Make in India for the World” on 3rd March.

The Union Budget 2022 has set a roadmap for India@100 with manufacturing as one of the key drivers of growth and job creation. The webinar will include discussions on the transformation of the manufacturing sector in India, realizing the trillion-dollar target in exports and MSMEs as growth engines of the economy.

“The webinar is aimed at keeping pace with the Union Budget 2022 by engaging with all stakeholders on various initiatives taken to boost manufacturing, increase exports and strengthen MSMEs,” the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said.

“By leveraging the expertise and experience of the stakeholders, an action plan for the industry to move forward and a monitoring framework will be finalized for effective implementation of development reforms in the sectors of manufacturing, exports and MSMEs.” Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will deliver the valedictory address at the event.

While addressing a webinar on ‘Technology Enabled Development’ on Wednesday, Modi said that while science and technology were not separate areas for the Centre, “for us technology is a medium to empower the people of the country. For us, technology The main basis is to make the country self-reliant. The same vision is visible in this year’s budget as well.”
