PM Modi in Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off two new Vande Bharat trains in Mumbai on Friday. The new semi-high speed trains will run on the Mumbai-Pune-Solapur and Mumbai-Nashik Road-Sainagar Shirdi routes.

These will be the 9th and 10th Vande Bharat trains to be put into service before carrying passengers.

Railways has plans to introduce 75 new Vande Bharat trains by August 2023.

“For that, we are coming up with Vande Bharat equivalent Vande Metro. The design and production will be completed this year, and in the next financial year, the production of the train will be ramped up. These will be like rapid shuttles for passengers Like experience,” Vaishnav said.
