PM Modi to inaugurate Mumbai Metro Rail Line 2A and Line 7 on January 19

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Navi Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7, which run from Gundavalli Metro, on Thursday, January 19.

According to news agency ANI, the metro line has been constructed at a cost of Rs 100 crore. 12,600 crores.

“18.6 km long Metro Line 2A connects Dahisar E and DN Nagar (Yellow Line) and the 16.5 km long Metro Line 7 connecting Andheri East and Dahisar E (Red Line).

Line 2A will run from Dahisar to DN Nagar in Andheri West and Line 7 will run from Dahisar East to Gundavali, Andheri East. According to Indian ExpressIt is suggested that the Prime Minister will also take a ride on the new metro line from Gundavali to Mogra.

According to the reports, from January 20, Friday, the metro line will start for the common people.

According to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), the six-coach metro service will run at an interval of eight minutes during peak hours and 10 minutes during non-peak hours.

On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis jointly reviewed Metro Line 2A and 7. Gundavali Metro Station.

As per reports, these lines are expected to carry 3-4 lakh passengers daily, thereby reducing vehicular traffic by 25 per cent, apart from decongesting Mumbai suburban local train services.

The Indian Express report also states that the first paid service will start at 6 am from Andheri West Row 2a. The last metro from the station will open at 9.24 pm.

On Line 7, the first metro train will leave Gundavali station at 5.55 am and the last one at 9.24 pm.

Services will be run on the entire 35 km elevated corridor section using 22 rakes. 28 rakes are available at Charkop depot, rest will be kept on standby mode for emergency.
