Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the construction of South Coast Railway Zone Headquarters, ESI Hospital, IIM-V and HPCL expansion project and dedicate a wide six-lane highway to Raipur, BJP state general secretary and MLC. PVN Madhav has said.

Addressing a media conference along with BJP state vice-president P Vishnu Kumar Raju and city president Ravindra Medapati, the BJP MLC said that the prime minister would reach Visakhapatnam on the night of November 11. A road show and meeting will be organized under the leadership of BJP state president Somu Veeraraju on 12 November.

He called upon the people of North Andhra to make the Prime Minister’s visit to the city a success. He said the decision to privatize the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) was a policy matter, but added that he would not allow injustice to the plant or the employees.

Mr. Madhav said that the BJP leaders of Andhra Pradesh had taken the VSP issue to the notice of the central leadership and suggested the merger of VSP in SAIL/NMDC. He recalled that the BJP has saved the DCI from privatization in the past. He said the party would organize a struggle in Visakhapatnam on issues related to Rushikonda, Daspalla land issue and 22A land.

Responding to a question, Mr. Madhav said that MLAs from other parties joining the BJP will have to first resign from their posts and get re-elected. This rule was also applicable to the state of Telangana. He alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao did a lot of drama.

Shri Vishnu Kumar Raju condemned the detention of TDP leader and former minister Ayyana Patrudu by the CID police by climbing the walls of his house and allegedly breaking the door. He said that an executive engineer was made to file the complaint against Mr. Patrudu. He said that these excesses committed by the YSR Congress government would be taken into the notice of the central leadership of the party.
