“Corruption is such an evil that we should stay away from it… We are trying to change the system created by ‘abava’ (shortage) and ‘dawab’ (pressure) in the last 8 years,” he said.
Modi said that all government agencies should work to change the system and tradition of corruption as India is celebrating 75 years of independence.
He said the country needs to have “zero tolerance” for corruption in the administrative ecosystem and this will work towards the idea of ​​a developed India.
The Prime Minister suggested that government departments should be ranked on anti-corruption efforts and pending corruption cases against officials should be decided in a timely manner.
“We need to finalize the disciplinary proceedings against government officials on mission mode,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that his government is working for a “self-reliant” India in various sectors, including defence, and has resulted in a reduction in corruption cases.

Modi also launched a ‘Grievance Management System’ portal of CVC which allows citizens to raise complaints of corruption digitally, apart from checking their progress in a user-friendly manner.
