PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Dausa section of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway tomorrow

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the 246-km Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The new section is expected to reduce the journey from the capital city to Jaipur in half from five hours to about three and a half. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), this first completed section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which was built at a cost of over Rs 12,150 crore, will significantly boost the economic development of the entire region.

Modi will launch road development projects worth over Rs 18,100 crore from Dausa and visit Karnataka on Monday to inaugurate the 14th edition of Aero India 2023 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka in Bengaluru.

The PMO said Modi’s emphasis on building excellent road infrastructure as an engine of growth, development and connectivity in a “New India” is being felt by the construction of several world-class expressways running across the country.

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will be the longest expressway in India with a length of 1,386 km. It will reduce the travel distance between Delhi and Mumbai by 12 per cent, from 1,424 km to 1,242 km, while the travel time will come down by 50 per cent from the current 24 hours to 12 hours.

The expressway will pass through six states Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra and will connect major cities like Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara and Surat.

It will serve 93 PM Gati Shakti economic nodes, 13 seaports, eight major airports and eight multi-modal logistics parks (MMLPs) as well as newly upcoming greenfield airports like Jewar airport, Navi Mumbai airport and JNPT port. will provide.

The PMO said that it will have a catalytic effect on the development trajectory of all adjacent regions, thus making a major contribution to the economic transformation of the country.

During the event, Modi will also lay the foundation stone for 247 km long national highway projects to be developed at a cost of over Rs 5,940 crore.

Regarding the Prime Minister’s program in Bengaluru, the PMO said that the theme of Aero India 2023 is “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities”. In line with Modi’s vision of “Make in India, Make for the world”, the event will focus on showcasing indigenous equipment, technologies and partnering with foreign companies.

The Prime Minister’s emphasis on self-reliance in the Indian defense sector will also be on display, as the event will showcase the country’s progress in design leadership, growth in the UAV sector, defense sector and future technologies.

In addition, the program will promote exports of indigenous aerial platforms such as Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Tejas, HTT-40, Dornier Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), PMO he said .

The event will also help integrate domestic MSMEs and start-ups into the global supply chain and attract foreign investment, including partnerships for co-development and co-production.

The event will see participation from over 80 countries. Ministers from around 30 countries and 65 CEOs from global and Indian OEMs are likely to participate in Aero India 2023. The PMO said that the Aero India 2023 exhibition will see the participation of over 800 defense companies, including around 100 foreign and 700 Indian.
