PM Narendra Modi urges healthcare workers to avoid wastage of COVID vaccine

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with health workers and beneficiaries of COVID vaccination program in Himachal Pradesh through video conferencing.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister urged the health workers to avoid wastage of the COVID-19 vaccine.

While interacting with Dr Rahul posted at Dodra Quar Civil Hospital in Shimla district, Modi said that 10 per cent expenditure can be saved if all the 11 shots in a single vial are used while administering the Kovid vaccine.

In a conversation with PM Modi, Rahul said, “Teams were deployed to visit every house to spread awareness about the virus and vaccination. We used to take feedback from ASHA workers everyday and try to avoid wastage of vaccine. used to collect data.”

While interacting with a beneficiary, PM Modi said, “I have seen that all the staff members including doctors, nurses and others have worked in a team to carry out the vaccination drive. We need to complete the vaccination drive. There should be no leniency of any kind.” Dayal Singh from Thunag Mandi.

Himachal Pradesh has successfully covered its entire eligible population with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination, the Prime Minister’s Office said on Sunday.

The state’s efforts include geographic priority to focus on difficult terrain, initiatives to ensure public awareness, and door-to-door visits by ASHA workers, among others, informed by the Prime Minister’s Office in an official release.

“Himachal Pradesh has set a benchmark in the fight against COVID-19 by giving the first dose of vaccine to all eligible people. Will have the privilege of interacting with many such beneficiaries and health workers of the state through video conferencing tomorrow at 11 am, informed PM Modi by tweeting in Hindi.

The state paid special attention to women, elderly, differently-abled, industrial workers, daily wage laborers and to achieve this, special campaigns like “Safety Ki Tactic – Corona Seduction” were launched.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was present during the program.
