PM visits exhibition of 100 episodes of ‘Mann Ki Baat’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday visited an exhibition inspired by the themes highlighted in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.

Through a monthly radio programme, Shri Modi interacts with citizens on topics and issues of social importance. Mann Ki Baat airs on the last Sunday of every month and 30 April was its 100th episode.

The exhibition ‘Jan Shakti: A Collective Power’ has been specially curated by top artistes to mark the completion of 100 episodes of the radio programme. It is being organized at the National Gallery of Modern Art in the capital.

On Sunday, the Prime Minister was taken on a special tour of the exhibition and the artists spoke about their artworks and the themes of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that inspired him.

After viewing the artefacts, Mr Modi signed the exhibition catalog and wrote the message, “Have a pleasant visit to Man Mandir. (May the journey of the mind be auspicious)”. 13 artists on the list have also been pre-signed.

Thirteen renowned modern and contemporary artists have used various mediums to express themselves and present an artistic representation of the Prime Minister’s message on twelve themes. Each topic is related to topics like Water Conservation, Nari Shakti (Women Empowerment), Awareness on Covid, Swachh Bharat, Environment and Climate Change, Agriculture, Yoga and Ayurveda, Indian Science, Space, Sports and Fitness.

Artists whose works are being displayed include Madhavi Parekh, Manu Parekh, Atul Dodiya, Riyas Komu, GR Iranna Sri and Manjunath Kamath.

Among other initiatives to mark 100 th Episodes are Amar Chitra Katha comic books in which people and themes are mentioned. There is also a radio chain and projection mapping that shows iconic heritage sites like Red Fort and Konark Sun Temple.
