The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Impact Assessment Division) has written a letter to the Secretary, Water Resources Department, Andhra Pradesh, conveying its decision to postpone the stop work order related to the Polavaram project till July 2, 2023. Requested by Government of Andhra Pradesh and Ministry of Jal Shakti.
According to the letter sent by Scientist-D Munna Kumar Shah, the said order was earlier extended till July 2, 2021. However, these extensions are subject to certain terms and conditions.
