Pooja Bhatt came in support of Shahrukh Khan amid Aryan Khan’s alleged drug case controversy
Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood megastar Shahrukh KhanThe Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday busted a rave party aboard a luxury cruise liner after he was arrested on charges of drug abuse, sale and purchase. Amidst the whole controversy, actress Pooja Bhatt came out in support of the actor. She wrote on her Twitter, “I stand by you @iamsrk. Not that you need it. but I do. This too shall pass.” Adding the emoji with folded hands at the end.

Earlier, singer Suchitra Krishnamurthy extended her support to Shah Rukh Khan on her official Twitter account. He tweeted, ‘Nothing is more difficult for a parent than watching their child in distress. Prayers for all”. Further adding that this is the price one has to pay for fame, he added, “Remember all the #NCB raids on movie stars for those targeting #Bollywood? Yes nothing found and nothing proved. #Bollywood gawking is a farce. That’s the price of fame.”
Earlier, actor Suniel Shetty had also urged everyone to wait and let the truth come out in time. Speaking at a press conference without naming anyone, Sunil said, ‘I would like to say that wherever raids take place, many people are caught. And we assume that this child must have consumed drugs or this child must have done it. But the proceedings are on, give that child a chance to breathe. Whenever something happens in Bollywood, the media scrutinizes everything and reaches a conclusion. Give the child a chance. Let the truth come out. It is our responsibility to take care of the child.”
Aryan and seven other youths were detained by the NCB and later formally arrested.
Initially, Aryan and two others – Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant – were arrested, and the three were produced before the Esplanade Magistrates’ Court amid tight security, late Sunday night and remanded to NCB custody for a day Gaya. The lawyer told the media persons.
Charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he will be produced before the court again on Monday for judicial custody, even as his legal team including Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, NCB in Bombay plans to challenge the action of High Court on Monday.
Others who remained in NCB custody – Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chaddha, Mohak Jaiswal, Vikrant Chhokar and Gomit Chopra were later arrested. They will be produced in the magistrate’s court after getting their medical examination done for remand.
Earlier, NCB superintendent VV Singh, in his arrest memo, had said that Aryan Khan was being arrested under the NDPS Act along with other known and unidentified persons for “involving in the consumption, sale and purchase of narcotics”.
The arrest was made in connection with the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas and 22 tablets of MDMA, aggregating to Rs 1,33,000 from him.
Aryan Khan, 23, admitted and said that he understands the reasons for his arrest and has informed his family.
Star son and others were detained by the NCB since morning. The action came after NCB swooped in on the Cordelia cruise deluxe ship on Saturday evening, as it was preparing for a scheduled Mumbai-Goa trip, which shocked people, especially those in the entertainment industry.
