Postpone NEET 2021, give fair chance to students: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has called for the postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-UG-2021 exam. He also slammed the Center for being “blind to the distress of the students”. The Congress leader also urged the government to give a “fair chance” to the students in the examination.

The Congress MP tweeted, “The Government of India (Govt. of India) is blind to the distress of the students. Postpone the #NEET exam. Give them a fair chance.”

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks come a day after the Supreme Court refused to defer NEET-UG-21 Exams Scheduled for September 12th.

A bench of the apex court headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar on Monday refused to interfere with the plea seeking a direction to the concerned authorities for rescheduling of NEET UG-21.

A bench headed by Justice Khanwilkar said, “We are not inclined to pass any order. Sorry. You (petitioner) may approach the competent authorities with your prayers and relief and represent yourself.” and pass any order on this issue.

The National Testing Agency had on September 3 clarified to the bench that students would be allowed to appear in the examination, despite the fact that CBSE results would not be declared till then.
