Several parts of Mumbai suffered power outages on Monday after a transmission line tripped. Outages were reported from the western suburbs of the city.
Khar, Kurla, Santacruz and Mumbai’s posh Bandra are among the areas where residents have been facing power cuts for a long time.
With temperatures rising in the city, power cuts flooded Twitter with angry messages from people.

Many residents of Chembur area also complained of power cuts.

A technical fault at Tata’s receiving station in Dharavi was said to be the reason behind the outage.
