“Therefore, we are empowering our central (national) load dispatch center so that it can inspect and give instructions. We have a grid in the country and if there is some problem in one corner of the country then the whole grid may collapse. That is why this provision has been made.”

In April, the minister was announced that attempts by hackers based in China aimed at power distribution centers near Ladakh were blocked. He had said at that time that power transmission in the Union Territory has been targeted twice.
