Pradhan reviews progress of infra projects in 43 higher education institutions

New Delhi: Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday chaired a high-level meeting to assess the progress of infrastructure projects in 43 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) including IITs, IIMs, IIITs, IISERs and Central Did. universities.

According to the education ministry, the meeting also examined the status of infrastructure projects in school education institutions like Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

In this program, Higher Education Secretary K. Sanjay Murthy, heads of higher education institutions, senior officials from CPWD, NBCC and Ministry of Education participated.

During the meeting, Pradhan stressed on the need to complete the infrastructure projects by the end of the year. He highlighted that setting up of modern infrastructure will soon be dedicated to the nation, furthering the objective of nurturing global citizens of the 21st century.

Ongoing projects include construction of new academic blocks, laboratories, hostels and vocational facilities for students at various IITs, IIITs, IIMs, IISERs and Central Universities.
