There is a growing perception among fans that Bollywood took time out to come out in support of Shah Rukh and Aryan. And even though some Bollywood people spoke, the numbers should have been much higher. Prahlad is strict as he says, “The film industry never speaks. Why should they change? They are very selfish people. They only protect themselves; They don’t know if it is the agenda of the central government to chase down Shahrukh for being associated with the Congress. Today everyone wants to follow the government, even the press. Even a section of the media does not write anything against the government.
Prahlad also throws light on the subject of Bollywood and Shah Rukh being a soft target. Recently, during the release of ‘My Name is Khan’ and during the IPL controversy, Shiv Sena had targeted Shahrukh. To this Prahlad says, “Now Shiv Sena belongs to Congress and Sharad Pawar and they will look on the other side. In politics, everyone flops all the time. But why is everyone so afraid to talk? Why doesn’t anyone have a backbone?”
Critical in his assessment of Bollywood, he added, “Bollywood will stand up and start speaking when its people are picked up one by one. Those in power know that if they choose people one by one, So no one is going to come along. They are not taking Bollywood at all in one go. They will make choices based on who is for them or against them. It’s that simple.” He adds, “They will not choose Kangana, they will choose Shah Rukh and Hrithik.”
