Pregnant Kyrgyz woman, her son murdered in Delhi home

A pregnant woman from Kyrgyzstan and her one-year-old son were found murdered at a friend’s house in southeast Delhi’s Kalkaji area on Tuesday morning, police said. He said Miskal Zumabaeva (28) and his son Manas were found dead on the bed with stab wounds to the chest and other parts of the body.

The woman was five months pregnant. Police said she was a housewife and lived in Greater Kailash with her husband Vinay Chauhan.

The couple has been married for more than two years and also had a 13-month-old son, who was found dead with them, said a senior police officer, who used to run the guest house.

The woman and her son were at their friend’s place in Kalkaji at the time of the incident. The officer said that her husband Chauhan made a PCR call after his friends informed about the death over the phone.

Police said a murder case has been registered in connection with the incident, further investigation is on to nab the culprit and find out the motive behind the murder.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) RP Meena said, “We received a call about the murder of a woman and her child in Kalkaji. Upon reaching the spot, we found the bodies of the Kyrgyz woman and her son lying on the bed with stab wounds. were done.” He said crime and forensic teams also visited the spot.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Myscal had an altercation with her husband on Monday night over going to the hospital. She complained of abdominal pain due to pregnancy and wanted to go to the hospital. After the argument, Chauhan left her at home in Greater Kailash and went to meet his friend Wahid, the police officer said.

The DCP said that the same night Myscal called his friend Matluba Madusmonova, who took him to the hospital along with his friend Avinish. Police said Matluba is an Uzbek national and lives in Kalkaji.

After visiting the hospital, Matluba took Mescal and the child to her residence in Kalkaji where both were found dead on Tuesday morning, the official said.

In the investigation so far, it has been found that the victim along with her sons Matluba and Avinish had visited the hospital late on Monday night and reached Kalkaji’s house. The senior police officer said that his flatmate was also at home and later two other common friends came to meet him and left.

He said that the victim spoke with her husband on the phone the same night about their subsequent hospital visits and their other places of stay.

The police said that there is no CCTV camera inside the house and even the people outside the building did not show the entry of any other outsider in the flat. The police are yet to suspect the role of an outsider, but said they are probing the matter from all possible angles.

“We have registered a case of murder and further investigation is on,” Meena said.

Police said that the knife used in the incident has been recovered from the spot.
