President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the permanent campus of IIM in Nagpur today

According to the news agency, President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday inaugurated the new campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Nagpur, Maharashtra. ANI report good.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Maharashtra Ministers Nitin Raut and Subhash Desai were also present. Earlier IIM Nagpur had tweeted, “Inauguration of IIM Nagpur New Campus at Mihan at the hands of President of India Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday, 8th May 2022, 10:00 AM. Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Nagpur CP Gurnani also graced the occasion. Will increase the opportunity.”

President Kovind in his address said, “I am sure that the ecosystem at IIM-Nagpur will inculcate the mindset of the students to become job creators rather than job seekers.”

Meanwhile, in another unrelated development, President Ram Nath Kovind Begin a week-long visit to Jamaica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) from May 15 in what will be the first visit by an Indian head of state to the two Caribbean countries.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Saturday said the visit reflects the continuation of India’s high-level engagement with countries in the Caribbean region and emphasizes its commitment to work with small island developing countries.

“The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, will pay a state visit to Jamaica and St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) from May 15 to 21. This will be the first visit by an Indian Head of State to these countries,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.

It said that Kovind will be in Jamaica from May 15 to 18, during which he will hold delegation-level talks with his counterpart, Jamaica Governor General Sir Patrick Allen.

The President will also call on Prime Minister Andrew Holness and other dignitaries. The foreign ministry said the president will address a joint sitting of both houses of Jamaica’s parliament. There are 70,000 overseas Indians in Jamaica, which acts as a living bridge with India.

“The visit is an important milestone as 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Jamaica,” the Ministry of External Affairs said. In the second leg of his visit, the President will visit SVG from May 18 to 21. “During the visit, he will hold discussions with his counterpart, Governor General Susan Daughan. He will also meet with Prime Minister Ralph E. Gonsalves as well as other dignitaries,” the MEA said.

Kovind will also address the Assembly House of SVG. Jamaica and SVG are active members in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). “The first Head of State visit to these countries is a continuation of India’s high-level engagement with countries in the Caribbean region and emphasizes our continued commitment to working with small island developing countries,” the Ministry of External Affairs said.
