Inaugurating the new Vanya Bhawan in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the government has removed over 32,000 unnecessary compliances. He said that the new building will greatly benefit the people associated with trade, commerce and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.

The Prime Minister also launched the NIRYAT (National Import-Export Record for Annual Analysis of Trade) portal – developed as a one-stop platform for stakeholders to obtain all necessary information related to India’s foreign trade .

He said that exports play an important role in transforming a developing country into a developed nation besides generating employment opportunities.

“Last year, despite global disruptions, India’s exports touched $670 billion… To achieve the new targets, collective efforts are necessary. Industry, exporters and export promotion councils are here. I ask them not only short term but also I would urge you to set long-term export targets for yourself,” he said.
