Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi During his proposed visit in July, Kashi will be presented with a foundation gift of 13 new projects worth Rs 1,200 crore and will inaugurate 33 finished projects worth Rs 600 crore.
Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agrawal and District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma Said that the last date for the proposed visit of the PM has not yet been received from the PMO, but in view of the possibility of his arrival between July 7 and 10, all preparations are being made. Officials are finalizing the list of projects ready to be inaugurated by the PM after the Chief Minister Yogi AdityanathIn the strict instructions issued on June 25, it has been said that only the projects which are started immediately after the inauguration should be included in the list.
Out of 33 completed projects worth about Rs 600 crore, maximum 11 are of Urban Development Department and are being executed by Smart City Limited. Officials said these 11 projects include first work of Namo Ghat, bathing ghat, CNG boats, urban space construction and infrastructure development under Lahartara-Chowkaghat flyover, market complex at Dashashwamedh and sewage projects.
Apart from this, 22 projects of Public Works Department, Home Department include new police station building, sports, electricity, higher education, women and child welfare, tourism, religious affairs and water power Departments have been included in the list.
Major projects, whose foundation will be laid by the PM, are six-lane conversion of Lahartara-BHU-Vijay crossing worth Rs 242 crore, widening and strengthening of Kachhahari-Sandada road worth over Rs 242 crore, and road from Pandeypur flyover to ring road Four lane widening etc.
