Malayalam actors Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph will be seen together on the big screen in Vipin Das’ directorial Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. Prithviraj announced the title of the film on Instagram in January. In the caption of the post, the actor wrote, “Wishing you all a laughter-filled 2023! This is a story that makes me smile every time I think about it since I heard it well over a year ago! Directed by Vipin Das after the blockbuster Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, written by Deepu Pradeep after Kunjiramayanam and teaming up with the multi-talented Basil Joseph to join hands with my long time collaborators E4 Entertainment to present ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayal’.

The film also stars Anaswara Rajan, Nikhila Vimal, Yogi Babu, Jagadish and Rekha Harris in key roles. The team has kept the story of the film under wraps. It is being jointly produced by E4 Entertainment and Prithviraj’s home banner Prithviraj Productions.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj will be seen in Sukumaran Aadujeevitham, which is helmed by Blessy. The film is an adaptation of Benyamin’s critically acclaimed novel of the same title. Besides this, Prithviraj’s third directorial venture L2: Empuran is also in the pipeline. He will also be seen in Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, which is slated to hit the theaters on Eid next year.
