The actor who has always made India proud globally gave an impressive speech recently pre-oscar party as one of the hosts. The event also marked the celebration of 10 South Asian Oscar nominees at Oscars 2022, and Priyanka also spoke about her Hollywood journey. In her speech, PC also said that she is not going out much these days pointing out that she is busy with her new role of mother. Sharing an incident from the early days of her Hollywood career, Priyanka said, “Each one of you are here today because you are all the best in what you do. When I moved here 10 years ago and started looking for work in America, I remember I was at the Golden Globes party and Aziz Ansari and I met at the after party. And we were like ‘Okay we’re going to count how many brown people there are in the room’ and it was just us. And it was great! We congratulated each other, encouraged each other and went there and met everyone else. But today I am no one else. Today, I stand among peers, among colleagues, among South Asian excellence. My hair stood up. I am emotional It makes me very proud.’ She continued, ‘I am not going out anywhere, but I had to come here tonight just to say that I am very proud to encourage you, shoulder to shoulder with all of you.’ Priyanka recently embraced motherhood as she welcomed a baby boy with husband Nick Jonas via surrogacy. The ‘Mary Kom’ actress added an Indian touch to her outfit for the pre-Oscars party as she dazzled in a black saree with a strapless blouse, which had major desi girl vibes. When her video from the party surfaced on the internet, netizens loved PC’s look and went gaga over it. On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Hollywood films like ‘Ending Things’, ‘Text for You’ and webseries ‘Citadel’.
