Priyanka Chopra Jonas paid tribute to Social Worker Sindhutai Sapkal, who passed away on 4 January. Priyanka, who is also known for her charity work, is one of the few Bollywood celebs who took to social media and penned a heartfelt note for the late social worker. Priyanka took to her Instagram stories, in which she wrote, ‘Siddhutai Sapkal molds her incredible life from personal failure to care for thousands of abandoned orphans, giving them food, a roof and hope. Mai left her matrimonial home due to domestic abuse and took refuge in railway stations and graveyards, where she had to beg to survive. This plight made her sympathize with orphans and abandoned children, which began her beautiful life’s journey of caring for children in need. He was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2021. Sindhutai Sapkali Heart attack happened in Pune. She raised over 1000 orphans and was called the ‘mother of orphans’.
