Lana Wachowski, Wachowski’s half, who directed all three films in the franchise with sister Lily, has written and directed the fourth “Matrix.” The film also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jonathan Groff and Neil Patrick Harris in pivotal roles.
Warner Bros. Pictures announced Monday that it will re-release the 1999 blockbuster film “The Matrix” on December 3, ahead of the worldwide theatrical premiere of the fourth installment “The Matrix Resurrection” on December 22.
