Probe agencies have no evidence against Sisodia, only ‘fabricated’ stories: Raghav Chadha

Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha on Friday claimed that the central probe agencies have only ‘malicious and fabricated stories’ against former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia. Arrested in money laundering case Related to Excise Policy of Delhi, and have been asking them the same questions.

He also said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials have questioned Mr. Sisodia for only 15 hours during his 7-day remand.

Addressing a press conference, Mr Chadha claimed that the CBI and the ED had no evidence against Mr Sisodia and he was behind bars as a result of the BJP’s “vendetta politics”.

“BJP is scared of AAP and has started vendetta politics. CBI and ED have no evidence against Manish Sisodia. They have only fabricated stories against him. When the court said that CBI sent Sisodia on remand Took, interrogated them and didn’t.” found anything against him, they got the ED to file more false cases against him,” Mr Chadha alleged.

“The central agencies do not have any evidence against Manish Sisodia. They only have malicious and fabricated stories against him. CBI and ED asked the same questions to Sisodia during interrogation and the purpose of doing so was to keep Sisodia behind bars. ” he alleged.

The ED arrested Mr Sisodia on March 9 from Tihar Jail, where he was lodged in a Central Bureau of Investigation case related to alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-cancelled Delhi Excise Policy for 2021-22.

The CBI arrested Mr. Sisodia on 26 February.

On Friday, a Delhi court extended Mr. Sisodia’s ED custody for another five daysAfter the ED sought his custody for seven more days.

The ED told the court that important information had come to the fore during Mr. Sisodia’s custody and he was to be confronted with other accused persons. It said forensic analysis of his email and mobile phone data was also being done.
