Production of Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ completed

The official adaptation of Hollywood star Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, the film went on floors last year and was shot across 100 locations across the country.

The production of Aamir Khan’s much-awaited film “Lal Singh Chaddha” has ended, the makers announced on Friday.

Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures, ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.

The official adaptation of Hollywood star Tom Hanks’ 1994 film “Forrest Gump”, the film went on floors last year and was shot in 100 locations across the country.

According to the makers, the shooting of the film recently wrapped up in the city, with the cast and crew celebrating the moment on the sets.

“Lal Singh Chaddha” is directed by Advait Chandan, who made his directorial debut with the 2017 musical drama “Secret Superstar” starring Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim.

Atul Kulkarni shared screenplay credit for “Lal Singh Chaddha” with Eric Roth, who adapted the 1986 novella for Hanks’ film.

“Forrest Gump,” which chronicled the life story of the titular protagonist, a slow-witted but kind man from Alabama, won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Hanks, and Best Director for Robert Zemeckis.

‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ is scheduled to release on Christmas this year.
