Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film ‘James’ unveils first look of Kannada star

The late actor’s elder brother Shiv Rajkumar unveiled the first look of the film on the occasion of India’s 73rd Republic Day

Kannada star Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away in October last year, will be seen in the role of a soldier in his Swan song “James”.

Taking to Twitter, Shiva Rajkumar shared the poster of Punit’s film “James” and wrote, “James as Appu.. Happy Republic Day everyone.” Puneeth Rajkumar, who was known as ‘Powerstar’ for his strong performances in several commercially successful Kannada films, passed away at the age of 46 after suffering a cardiac arrest in October 2021.

“James” is written and directed by Chetan Kumar.

The film also stars Anu Prabhakar, Srikanth, R Sarathkumar, Tilak Shekhar and Mukesh Rishi.

According to media reports, the film will be released on March 17 on the occasion of Puneet Rajkumar’s birth anniversary.

The Kannada star’s last big screen release was the action-thriller “Yuvaratna” in April 2021.

Meanwhile, streaming service Prime Video recently announced that they will be releasing three of Punit’s home production films: “Man of the Match”, “One Cut to Cut” and “Family Pack” directly on their platform.
