According to an official, the state cabinet had approved filling up of 1,925 vacant posts of assistant professors in state-aided colleges on the pay of basic pay plus grade pay (Rs 15,600 + 6,000 = Rs 21,600) in a phased manner. On contract for three years. Thereafter, their cases were considered for regularization based on the evaluation of their works by the Appraisal Committees.
