Recalling his old days and reviving them, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi decided to spend Thursday night at the same gurdwara where he stayed during his cycle tour in 2016. Channi, who was then the Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. An official statement said that he started the cycle yatra across Punjab to make people aware of the alleged anti-people policies of the then SAD-BJP government.
When the cycle journey reached Moga, Channi stayed overnight at Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Tega Singh in village Chand Puran (Moga). Channi, who went to Moga on Thursday to attend several programs after taking over as chief minister, chose the same gurdwara for his night stay.
