Queen releases rediscovered song featuring frontman Freddie Mercury

Queen released a rediscovered song on Thursday featuring Freddie Mercury, the band’s first new track in more than eight years with the instantly recognizable vocals of the late frontman.

According to a Reuters report, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor first told their fans about the track during an interview. The track is titled “Face It Alone”.

It was originally recorded during the sessions for the band’s chart-topping album “The Miracle” in the late 1980s, but was not made for release. Queen’s production and archive team found it again when they began reworking the album’s upcoming box set, due for release in November.

“We’ve forgotten about this track,” Taylor said in a statement.

“But there it was, this little gem. It’s wonderful, a real discovery. It’s a very sentimental piece.” “The Miracle”, Queen’s 13th studio album, follows two from Mercury’s death from AIDS-related pneumonia in 1991 came out years ago.
