Actress Kangana Ranaut has talked about the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. His statements came during his visit to Haridwar on Sunday and he also performed Ganga Aarti. The actor is currently gearing up for his upcoming period drama film ‘Emergency’
During his tour, he responded to the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, saying, “There is a lot of curiosity among people about the elections, but in 2024 the same will happen as happened in 2019.”
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 353 seats and returned to power.
Ranaut has already indicated on many occasions to contest elections in future. Last year in October 2022, the actor said she wanted to serve the people of Himachal Pradesh in any capacity, even if it required her to join politics. The actress, who hails from Manali, had said that it would be a matter of pride for her if she gets a chance to work for the betterment of the people of her home state.
Earlier, during the promotions of Tamil actress-turned-politician Jayalalithaa’s film ‘Thylavi’, Kangana had said that she would definitely like to join politics if her fans want her to.
Meanwhile, Kangana went to Haridwar and took the blessings of the deities. Coming back to his work front, ‘Emergency’ is his first solo directorial venture.
The film revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and features Kangana in the role of the late politician.
Apart from Kangana, the film also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chowdhary, Vishak Nair and Shreyas Talpade in key roles. She will also be seen in ‘Tejas’ in which she will be seen playing the role of an Indian Air Force pilot. The official release date of the film is still awaited.
Kangana will be seen in ‘Chandramukhi 2’. Helmed by P Vasu, ‘Chandramukhi 2’ is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Tamil horror comedy film ‘Chandramukhi’, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in lead roles.
In ‘Chandramukhi 2’, Kangana will play the role of a dancer in the king’s court, who was known for her beauty and dancing skills.
In the coming months, the audience will also see Kangana in ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ and ‘The Avatar: Sita’.
