R Madhavan cheers for his son Vedant as he breaks national junior swimming record – Times of India

R Madhavan is one proud parent as their son recently made headlines for breaking the national junior record in a swimming competition. His son Vedant, a talented swimmer proved his mettle in the 48th Junior National Aquatic Championships and won the 1500m freestyle. Sleep medal

Sharing the video of his winning streak, Madhavan wrote, ‘Never say never. (with folded hands, red heart and hug emoji). National junior record for 1500m freestyle broken. The video shows Vedant swimming, as the commentator put it, “In about 16 minutes, he has broken Advaita Page’s record at the 780m mark. I didn’t expect him to do that but he picked up his pace beautifully.

Back in April, Vedant also won a gold medal in the men’s 800m freestyle at the Danish Open in Copenhagen. Sharing a clip of Vedant winning the medal, Madhavan shared, “And the winning streak continues even today.. @VedaantMadhavan got the gold in Denmark Open. Pradeep sir @swimmingfedera1 #ANSAdxb and for all your blessings ”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Madhavan recently featured in ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. Directed by Madhavan himself, it is an Indian biographical drama on the life of scientist Nambi Narayanan. The film is also Madhavan’s directorial debut and is slated to release worldwide on July 1, 2022.
