Radhakishan Damani increased shareholding in this cigarette company in Q2FY22

Listed companies are declaring their shareholding pattern after the end of September 2021 quarter, making the task of retail investors easier. In this episode, there is news for such investors that Radhakishan Damani has bought a new stake in VST Industries in the July to September 2021 quarter. The ace stock market investor bought a 1.63 percent stake in the cigarette maker and distributor company in an individual capacity.

As per the shareholding pattern of VST Industries for Q2FY22, Radhakishan Damani holds 2,51,484 shares of the Hyderabad headquartered company, which is 1.63 per cent of the total issued paid-up capital of the company. As per the company’s shareholding pattern for the April to June 2021 quarter, Radhakishan Damani’s name was not on the list of individual shareholders. Therefore, an ace investor bought these new shares in an individual capacity in the period from July to September.

Although Radhakishan Damani has a long standing investment in this company. He has invested in this company through his company Bright Star Investments Private Limited. As per the shareholding pattern of VST Industries, Bright Star Investments Pvt Ltd holds 401,07,118 shares or 25.95 per cent stake in the company. Vijay Kedia Company held the same percentage stake in the company in the June 2021 quarter. This means buying 1.63 per cent of VST Industries’ shares in an individual capacity while keeping its company’s holding unchanged in the recently ended September 2021 quarter.
