As Mumbai Indians spinner Rahul Chahar bid farewell to Royal Challengers Bangalore’s KS Bharat, Bower’s reaction was such that he elicited mixed reactions on Twitter, trending him on the micro-blogging site for half an hour. It all started in the ninth over of RCB’s innings, when KS Bharat swept Chahar out of the park. The youngster was on the receiving end, but he made a quick comeback on the next ball. Bharat finds the fielder to play from the inside out and immediately gets Chahar’s wrath.

Chahar was having nightmares till then as Hardik Pandya had earlier dismissed Kohli from his bowling. Needless to say, Chahar would have been a star had Pandya caught that catch. Instead, Kohli was dropped and later stitched a fifty-run partnership with Bharat to push Mumbai on the back-foot. Meanwhile, Chahar had a bad night; He finished with figures of 1/33 in his four overs. Even in the last game against KKR, he was taken to the cleaners along with Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi.

Earlier captain Virat Kohli scored a half-century and Glenn Maxwell scored 56 off 27 balls as Royal Challengers scored 165/6 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians in an IPL 2021 match here on Sunday.
Kohli (51) saved RCB after his opening partner Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed for a duck, completing his 10,000 runs in T20 cricket in the process. With Maxwell’s scintillating performance, it looked like Bangalore would amass a huge total. But Jasprit Bumrah (3/36) sent Maxwell and AB de Villiers back in successive deliveries as Mumbai Indians trailed RCB and restricted them to a more manageable 165.
