Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday hit out at Raj Thackeray and demanded the shutdown of loudspeakers at mosques, saying the MNS chief’s speech was “scripted and sponsored” by the BJP. Speaking at a rally in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on Saturday, Raj Thackeray demanded that if loudspeakers are not stopped in mosques, there will be speakers playing Hanuman Chalisa at higher volumes outside mosques.

“It is clear that the loudspeaker playing yesterday at Shivaji Park was scripted and sponsored,” Raut told reporters here.
