The gangster has been identified as Sandeep Sethi,
Sethi, who was out on bail since September 12, along with his friends had come for the hearing in the Nagaur district court.
PTI quoted Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Meena as saying that as soon as he reached the court, four-five unidentified men on motorcycles opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
He said that 25 criminal cases were registered against Sethi in different police stations.
The officer said that Sethi’s killers fired around 9-10 rounds. His body has been kept in the mortuary of Government Hospital, Nagaur for postmortem.
Meena said that efforts are being made to identify the killers through CCTV footage.
